CCRN

The CCRN is the most recognized critical care credential in the world. Attainment of this credential garners respect from nurses, physicians, and administrators. Critical-care nursing is that specialty within nursing that deals specifically with life-threatening conditions. Certified critical-care nurses (CCRNs) certify their nursing skills by passing a meticulous test and by meeting a far-reaching continuing education and clinical knowledge requirements. Air ambulance medical transportation services use CCRN to staff the air ambulances providing care to the patients on-board. The medical staff at Air Ambulance Network are critical care trained providing the care needed for their patients.

An Air Ambulance conducts and operates advanced air ambulance configured aircraft requiring the skill of the CCRN to be on board to care for the patients.. Quite frequently these air ambulances are also referred to as Medflights, Medical Flights, Aeromed flights, Aeromedical, Lifeguards, Care flight, Critical Care Medflights, Advanced Air Ambulances, medevacs or jet rescue /Air ICU (intensive care unit). As their name implies the level of care provided is very high. Air Ambulance Network uses a medically configured aircraft having a removable stretcher and advance life support equipment on-board. Air Ambulance Network’s services are used when patients need to be transported over long distances more quickly than ground ambulances.

Air Ambulance Network uses fixed wing aircraft that are fully staffed with a CCRN and equipped with all necessary medical equipment for complete patient care. Most patients transported by air ambulance are taken from one facility to another.
