Privacy Policies


Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) is governed by the US Dept. of Health and Human Services, office of Civil Rights and regulates the act that protects the disclosure of consumers medical records.

Air Ambulance Network will keep your information confidential and protected. We will follow our privacy practices to insure that your personal medical information is protected. The Privacy Policy for Air Ambulance Network outlines how your medical information will be protected and what your rights are to the use and disclosure of medical information. Understand that under HIPAA all individuals and organizations that are involved in the patients’ healthcare are required to follow the HIPAA privacy practices.

DISCLOSURE
We may disclose information to other healthcare organizations as required for the patients’ healthcare, medical billing and heath care Operations for quality improvement practices. We maybe provide information to your healthcare insurance carrier to provide claim processing. These healthcare providers are obligated to the same requirements to keep you records private and confidential.
We may be required by law to disclose medical information in response to a request from the government, law enforcement and or legal judicial orders.
We may disclose information to a friend or family member who is assisting with your medical care, or maybe providing financial arrangements on your behalf.
We will not disclose or release your information to anyone else without your written permission or prior authorization.

REQUESTS
You have the right to request a copy of your records and request changes to your records if you feel there is inaccurate information we have on record.

Please provide contact information in your detailed written request.
In addition you may request us to modify this policy and request that your medical information be released to or not released to another party. We will review the request and notify you of the actions to be taken. This request may be revoked at anytime with written notice to Air Ambulance Network.

CHANGES TO OUR POLICY
Air Ambulance Network retains the rights to make changes to this policy. Patients will receive a copy at the time services are rendered however, will not receive the updated policies but, may request a written copy at anytime by contacting Air Ambulance Network directly at 727-934-3999.

COMPLAINTS
You have the right if you feel that Air Ambulance Network has violated the privacy of your medical records to file a written complaint with the United States Department of Health and Human Services for guidance you can reference www.HHS.gov .
